18–19 September 2027 | Holmbush Farm, West Sussex | 15K & 5K — Both Days

Back to Sussex for More Mud!

London South was one of the highlights of my 2026 Tough Mudder journey. Across the weekend, I completed 45 km, tackled some fantastic obstacles and recorded my fastest 15K finish to date.

Naturally, that means I’m coming back for another helping of Sussex mud! 🦔💛

In 2027, I’ll be returning to Holmbush Farm for both days, taking on the 15K and 5K on Saturday and Sunday — four runs and 40 km of muddy adventures.

The venue certainly doesn’t make things easy. Woodland trails, steep hills and that wonderfully sticky Sussex clay provide plenty of opportunities to discover just how much mud a single pair of shoes can collect!

This time, though, the weekend isn’t about chasing a particularly ridiculous distance target. It’s about enjoying the obstacles, meeting fellow Mudders and sharing the experience with others.

Although, as always, I reserve the right to develop a slightly questionable idea before September! 😅

The Prickle Crew Is Coming to London South! 🦔💛

All four runs across the weekend are Prickle Crew events, and I’d love to have you join us!

Prickle Crew is a welcoming community for anyone who enjoys obstacle course racing, wants to try something new or simply fancies getting muddy with a friendly group of people.

Whether this is your first Tough Mudder or your fiftieth, you’re welcome to be part of the crew.

It’s not about being the fastest or strongest. It’s about supporting one another, sharing a few laughs, lending a hand when needed and celebrating what we achieve together.

I’ll be running both distances on both days, so there are plenty of opportunities to join us for one run, several runs or the whole weekend.

Find out more about the community and how to join us at prickle-crew.uk.

Making It Count

In 2026, London South was about pushing myself further and discovering what I was capable of.

In 2027, I want to take that experience and help others discover what they’re capable of too.

Four runs, two days, plenty of obstacles and hopefully a growing collection of familiar yellow Prickle Crew shirts amongst the mud!

Because sometimes the most rewarding part of overcoming an obstacle isn’t getting over it yourself — it’s helping someone else get over it too.

Endure. Overcome. Make It Count.

MUDOMINATION AWAITS! 🦔💛

Grasmere Wild Trail Runs

Another trip to the Lake District, but this time the running shoes are coming with me.

The Grasmere Wild Trail Runs have been on my radar as exactly the sort of event that fits into the Tough Smudge journey. It isn't an obstacle race and it isn't about chasing a flat-road 10K time. This is about getting more experience running properly off-road, dealing with hills, changing surfaces and the sort of terrain that makes ten kilometres feel very different from ten kilometres on tarmac.

Tough Mudder: London West 2027

The first major endurance rehearsal. Tough Smudge heads to London West for an eight-hour Infinity on Saturday, before returning on Sunday for both the 15K and 5K. The Infinity target isn't a distance award. It's to complete the experience, learn from it and discover how much is left when it's time to go again.

Tough Mudder: London South 2026

The Tough Smudge journey heads to Holmbush Estate for Tough Mudder London South 2026. Another 15K, another 20+ obstacles and another chance to build experience, endurance and resilience on the road to World's Toughest Mudder 2027.
